Barbara Broccoli (born June 18, 1960) is the daughter of Albert "Cubby" Broccoli. She is currently a co-producer of the James Bond films.

Biography[]

Born on June 18, 1960, Broccoli was born to James Bond producer Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli and actress Dana Wilson Broccoli (née Natol). She majored in motion picture and television communications at Loyola University.[1]

Broccoli started in the Bond franchise at the age of 17, working in the publicity department of The Spy Who Loved Me. Six years later, she was promoted to assistant director on Octopussy. Soon after she had worked her way up further to become an associate producer on the film The Living Daylights in 1987.[2]

During the six-year hiatus between Licence to Kill and GoldenEye, Barbara took up her ailing father's position as co-producer of the film series, alongside with her half-brother, Michael G. Wilson. Perhaps, her most famous decision was casting Judi Dench in the role of the series' first female M.[1] Following the success of GoldenEye, Broccoli remained as co-producer of the subsequent Bond films starring Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig.
