Jack Mason, codenamed 003, was a fictional intelligence operative of the Double-O Section, an ultra-covert Black Ops unit within the Secret Intelligence Service (SIS/MI6). Performed by James Arnold Taylor, the minor character appeared in the 2004 James Bond video-game, Everything or Nothing.

Biography[]

Console variant[]

Virtually nothing is known about agent 003. in the video game Everything or Nothing he is simply referred to as "Jack", however there is verification that his last name is "Mason". Sent to Peru to investigate Nikolai Diavolo, 003 vanishes during his mission and so MI6 scrambles James Bond to rescue him. Bond finds a lead through Serena St. Germaine, with whom 003 was in a romantic relationship. Bond discovers 003 being interrogated and tortured by Diavolo at his platinum mine, and arrives to see his fellow 00 agent fatally shot when he attempts to intervene. In his last moments, 003 tells Bond that Diavolo is moving on to New Orleans, but dies from bleeding out before he can fully divulge Diavolo's intentions.

Handheld variant[]

In the handheld variant of Everything or Nothing, 007 teams up with 003 in the Peruvian jungle to investigate Diavolo's activities. Working undercover in Peru prior to the mission's events, 003 briefs Bond on the situation, noting that the entire local population is on Diavolo's payroll. The pair infiltrate Diavolo's operation, with Bond subsequently sending 003 to flank the base, rendezvousing at a weapons stockpile. However, 003 is caught and brought to Diavolo. He claims to be a geologist with Global Petrochemical, who got lost while surveying the region. Diavolo sees through his deception and has the man shot offscreen.
