Glu Mobile, Inc. (also known as Glu Games and in the past as ) is a developer and publisher of mobile game for smartphone and tablet device. Founded in San Francisco, California in 2001 as Sorrent, Glu has since taken up office in a few countries. Glu offers products to multiple platforms including iOS, Android, Amazon, Windows Phone and Google Chrome.[2] In 2014, it was announced that Glu Mobile was assigned to work on a James Bond mobile game, in association with MGM Interactive.[3] A year after, it was revealed that the application was titled World of Espionage,[4] a strategic game that recaptured the classic 007 storylines, released on September 29th 2015 to tie-in with the release of Spectre.[5]
On August 2, 2011, Glu acquired Griptonite Games. Its staff of 200 more or less doubled Glu's development capacity.[6]
