Bio
Edit
Generally regarded as a hero for his bravery in World War II and the Greek Civil War that followed, Kristatos was actually a double agent during both conflicts. Though he appeared to be a respectable businessman in the years thereafter, he was in fact a heroin smuggler and a Soviet agent. He developed a blood feud with rival smuggler Milos Columbo, whom he had served with, and betrayed, during the war.
Assigned to steal the A.T.A.C. (a machine which controls the launching system of British submarines) and deliver it to the Soviets, he killed Tim Havelock, the head of the British salvage effort, attracting the attention of James Bond and Havelock's vengeful daughter Melina. Kristatos framed Columbo for his various crimes, hoping that Bond will kill him.
Even though Kristatos has no problems assassinating anyone, he strangely becomes emotional when he tells Bond that it would be the happiest day of his life if Bibi Dahl were to win the ice-skating Gold medal.

Added by HorneanAfter failing to kill Bond and Melina Havelock when they return to the surface, they join forces with Columbo and his men to take on Kristatos in the climax of the film. Bond manages to stop Kristatos from selling the ATAC to the Russians, but while he convinces Melina Havelock not to kill Kristatos for the death of her parents, Kristatos pulls out a knife. Noticing the threat Columbo kills Kristatos by throwing a knife into his back.
