Linda is a minor Bond Girl who appears in the pre-title sequence of the 1987 James Bond film The Living Daylights. She is played by Kell Tyler.

Film biography

Whilst moored off the coast of Gibraltar, Linda phones her friend Margot, voicing her frustration with life on the Mediterranean; noting the proliferation of "playboys and tennis pros" and hoping she finds a "real man". Mere seconds later, Bond parachutes onto her Yacht and borrows the telephone to contact 'Exercise Control' (following the sabotage of a training exercise on the island). Bond initially informs control that he will report in an hour, however he is swayed to increase it to two hours after being invited to enjoy a glass of champagne with the girl.

  • Dalton's brief dialogue with Linda includes his first delivery of Bond's iconic introduction catchphrase "Bond, James Bond". She is also the first Bond girl to appear in his short tenure as the spy.
