I'm the administrator of the French wiki James Bond. Unfortunately, I am the only user who is really active on this wiki and I am a bit overworked right now. For example, the Wiki deals with very few vehicles, weapons, video games and novels, and I would really need help. Since you seem to have very large resources on the 007 universe, I wondered if you speak a little French or that you know someone who speaks it and who could come to help me.
I've seen them around, and tracked one back to you, and was wondering where you found the images of the literary characters? I'm just curious to see if they are official, because one (Paula Vacker) is... not at all like the book's description.
Now, slightly off-topic, could images of characters in the comic adaptations be used in literary character infoboxes? also, truly off-topic, were you aware of a Bond comic series? it's on its seventh issue...
Hello, I just thought it should be brought to an admin's attention that there is a very persistent vandal that has been attacking the Alura McCall page over the past few days. It's almost amusing, but I feel like I've hit the 'undo' button far too many times.
Okay, thanks! I just wasn't sure cause I haven't seen the film yet. I was planning to but ended up just waiting for the dvd. But I didn't think she was a henchmen, she just looked like a villain affiliate to me. :P
Another question (sorry for all of them lol just like to be sure) should we consider certain KGB members villains or henchmen? Like we do for the Log Cabin girl. And there's characters like Pola Ivanova, who directly works against Bond and Sergei Barsov. :/
Barsov would be a villain as he quite clearly tries to kill Bond. Log cabin girl is quite hard to define really, being such an oblique character. Her role in the novelization is bigger apparently and contains more info and background. Sadly, I do not own a copy so am unable to tell you any more :(
Not sure about Pola, the two do fight yet stop upon recognising one another they then operate against each other, but non violently. More of a Bond girl perhaps due to her rather passive relationship with Bond? Not so much a villain, more of a rival.
Okay, thanks! Another question to go along with that one lol. Barsov is def a villain and I would say that Martine is as well since she set Bond up for that. But do we consider them henchmen as well? And I cant decide on Pola either. She's kind of more of an antagonist than an actual villain since she isn't acting maliciously. Kinda like Anya.
The page is named that way as that is how the actress was credited, but I must say I'm not a fan of ambiguous titles such as that. Giulietta da Vinci is a similar case as her name was never mentioned in the film, only in Raymond Benson's novelization.
