Sunday is a jovial Fakassa man in the Democratic Republic of Dahum that debuted in the 2013 James Bond Novel Solo by William Boyd.

Novel Biography[]

Early Life[]

Being of Fakassa heritage, Sunday took up with the Democratic Republic of Dahum in the Zanzari Civil War. Sunday worked as a personal assistant for Dahum's Press Centre and was charged to show journalists around Port Dunbar, which he always did with a smile. He drove a Peugeot 404 which had been badly-yet-superficially damaged on its left side by Zanzari bombers that had luckily missed him.

Solo[]

Near the end of the war, Sunday was assigned to James Bond, a journalist from the Agence Presse Libre, and after taking him to interview the Minister of the Interior Abigail Kross, they toured a school, a fire station, and other such places before he asked for Sunday to arrange a special pass to visit the airstrip at Janjaville: the only point of import in all of Dahum, where he introduced the journalist to Hulbert Linck.

Before dawn on the next day, Sunday heard of a small victory over Zanza Force and awoke Mr. Bond, believing he might like to see it. They drove to a village on the outskirts of Dahum, where Kobus Breed strung up three dead Zanzari soldiers with oversize fishhooks, a practice that Sunday greatly disliked, which lead him to dislike Breed. He explained to Bond that he felt the man enjoyed it far too much, and he felt that the Zanzari soldiers were people, just like those of Dahum.

After awhile of working with Bond, He asked Sunday how much is US dollars he would sell his car for. He said twenty, but would sell to Bond for 15. Bond gave him 50 for it, a fortune in Dahumian sigmassis, and asked him to gather some things. They then drove to the house of Tony Msour, where they parted ways and Sunday began happily walking back to Dahum.

With the Zanza Force fast approaching, Sunday picked up Bond one last time in his new car and lamented but accepted the loss of the war. He gave one final goodbye to Mr. Bond, and they never met again.
