Tilly Masterton is the fictional sister of Jill Masterton, an employee of Auric Goldfinger. The character appears in the 1959 Ian Fleming novel Goldfinger and was subsequently adapted (and renamed Tilly Masterson) for the 1964 EON Productions film of the same name.
Tilly swears revenge on Auric Goldfinger after he had her sister, Jill murdered and painted her body with gold paint. She first meets James Bond when he purposely backs his car into hers while both were pursuing Goldfinger. She later travels to Goldfinger's Swiss metallurgical and engineering company, Entreprises Auric A.G. in pursuit of vengeance. However, her planned assassination of Goldfinger is foiled by the unplanned appearance of 007 and both are captured by his servant Oddjob.
After interrogation Bond and Tilly are subsequently taken to Goldfinger's operational headquarters in a warehouse in New York City. They are put to work as secretaries for a meeting between Goldfinger and several gangsters (including the Spangled Mob and the Mafia), who have been recruited to assist in "Operation Grand Slam" – the planned theft of the United States gold reserves from Fort Knox. She and Bond serve Goldfinger as secretaries whilst he hosts representatives from other gangs. It is here that she is introduced to Pussy Galore, the leader of an all-female criminal gang called "The Cement Mixers". She develops a bond with the gang leader, leading 007 to surmise that she is in fact lesbian.
Operation Grand Slam commences, but Felix Leiter and the CIA are lying in wait for Goldfinger after Bond obliquely left a note for Leiter in a public restroom, detailing Auric's scheme. A battle commences outside Fort Knox, and both Tilly and James escape in the chaos. Pursued by Oddjob, she leaves Bond in the hope that Pussy Galore will protect her. However, in the process of running to Galore, she is struck down by Oddjob's razor-edged hat and is killed instantly.
